EXPLORE YOUR CAREER OPTIONS

Learn about in-demand careers and your pathway to them at the Career Exploration Fair, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, May 3 at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The Career Exploration Fair is more than just a job fair. It provides attendees with the chance to sharpen their job-seeking skills, meet industry professionals, examine possible careers and begin developing a plan for their futures.

Keynote speaker Ron Nash will kick off the event at 10 a.m., getting the crowd fired up about ways to market themselves to potential employers. A vendor fair with dozens of local and national businesses will kick off at noon alongside “campfire sessions” providing 20-minute informal discussions on topics like résumés, company research and career planning.

Check out these topics: “Wear This, Not That: A Millennial’s Guide to Business,” “Social Media: Is Your Boss Watching You?” “How to Keep a Job and Make a Career Out of it,” “Résumé: Win Now and Win Fast in Today’s Competitive Job Market,” “Social Media Etiquette: Creating Your Personal Brand on LinkedIn,” and more.
