Pre-college courses classified as developmental courses don’t apply toward an associate’s or baccalaureate degree and don’t transfer to a four-year institution.
Since continuing education courses do not grant college credit, they typically do not count toward associate’s, bachelor’s, or related certificates. However, they may be applicable for professional development training or for meeting licensure and certification requirements.Certain departments may offer Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) opportunities for certain continuing education courses.
